Full deletion is completed within 30 days of verification. The OTP step keeps your store safe from anyone else triggering it.
Before you submit — what to expect
- What gets deleted: your Wcommerce login, store profile, product catalog, customer list, order history, payout records, and any photos/videos you uploaded.
- How we verify it's you: within 24 hours, we'll call you on the phone linked to your store. During that call we'll send a WhatsApp OTP — read it back to authorise the deletion. This stops anyone else from deleting your store.
- How long it takes: 24-hour callback for verification, then deletion is completed within 30 days of the verified request.
- What may be retained: transaction records (invoices, GST filings) that Indian tax law requires us to keep — typically for 7 years. These stay anonymized and are used only for compliance.
- This is irreversible: once deleted, your account, data, and customer list cannot be recovered. If you reopen a Wcommerce account later, you'll start fresh.
- Active orders: if you have pending orders or customer commitments, please fulfil or cancel them before requesting deletion to avoid issues for your buyers.
